The Kolkata Knight Riders are a franchise cricket team representing the city of Kolkata in the Indian Premier League. The franchise is owned by Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, actress Juhi Chawla and her spouse Jay Mehta.The home of the Knight Riders is Eden Gardens, the largest cricket stadium in India and the second largest in the world by seating capacity.The franchise, which has gained immense popularity due to its association with celebrity owners, qualified for the IPL playoffs for the first time in 2011. The brand value of the Knight Riders was estimated at $104 million in 2018, second highest among IPL franchises.

KKR HOME GROUND
The home venue of the Knight Riders is the iconic Eden Gardens (with the two ends of the crease called the High Court End and the Club House End). Owned by the Cricket Association of Bengal, it is the largest cricket stadium in India and had a seating capacity of over 90,000.In 2011, the stadium was renovated to meet the standards set by the International Cricket Council for the 2011 Cricket World Cup; reducing its capacity to around 68,000. The renovated stadium includes a new clubhouse and players' facilities, upgrading the exterior wall, cladding the existing roof structure with a new metal skin, and general infrastructure improvements.In 2013, two of the team's home matches were hosted by the JSCA International Cricket Stadium in Ranchi.

IPL

Eight franchises buy 62 players at VIVO IPL 2020 Player Auction
62 players, 29 overseas and 33 Indians were sold as the eight Indian Premier League franchises splurged their way into fierce bids at the 2020 VIVO IPL Player Auction in Kolkata.
Australia fast bowler Pat Cummins set the cash registers ringing as he became the most expensive overseas signing in the history of the tournament after Kolkata Knight Riders acquired him for a whopping Rs.15.50 crores.
His Australian teammate, all-rounder Glenn Maxwell too earned big with the final bid being locked at Rs. 10.75 crores. The Big show made his way to Kings XI Punjab.

Currently, there is no official news released about IPL 2020 Time Table, dates, Match List or ScheduleVivo IPL 2020 Schedule will be declared soon. Millions of cricket fans are eagerly waiting for upcoming Indian Premier League Season 13. Total 8 Teams will participate in this IPL T20 Tournament and each team will play 14 matches and Each and every match will be started in either 4.00pm or 8:00 pm only.
Last year IPL was started at 23rd of March and the final match was played on 12th of May 2019 where MI beat CSK and won the Vivo IPL Champion Title for the 4th Time.
